A short paper dealing with some of the more interesting species in a collec tion of over six hundred specimens of Mantids submitted to Max Beier for determination. This material (which is in the Selangor Museum. Federated Malay States, and which was nearly all collected by Mr. H. M. Pendlebury) consists of between seventy and eighty species obtained in the Malay Peninsula and North Borneo.
The paper describes several new species.
